A settlement has been reached with Mount Sinai Health System, Inc. regarding a lawsuit alleging it used tracking technologies, like the Facebook Pixel, on its website and MyChart patient portal, which potentially shared users' personal health information with Facebook. Mount Sinai denies any wrongdoing and denies that any medical information was shared. The settlement establishes a $5,256,588 fund to pay eligible class members who file valid claims, as well as cover attorneys' fees and other costs.
